Achim Berg becomes new Chairman of the Advisory Board at One DataSoftware company relies on top-class digitalisation expert for next growth step

Passau, Munich 18 February 2025 – Software company One Data today announced that it has appointed Achim Berg as the new Chairman of the Advisory Board. The company is thus strengthening its management team with one of the most renowned experts for growth through digitalisation. Achim Berg succeeds Benedikt von Schoeler, under whose chairmanship One Data has developed into Europe’s leading software company in the field of data product management.

Future prospects for One Data

In the middle of last year, One Data closed an extended Series B financing round of 32 million euros to drive it expansion. The investors, including Vsquared Ventures, Molten Ventures and HV Capital, are supporting the company in further developing its first software solution for data product management and opening up new markets. Customers such as BioNTech, thyssenkrupp and SCHOTT already rely on One Data’s technology to use their data efficiently and optimise their processes.

Background

In addition to advisory roles for leading global companies such as General Atlantic, Achim Berg is a member of the supervisory board of several companies focussing on disruptive technology and software companies and an excellent expert on the European tech start-up community and the private equity scene. In addition, Achim Berg has held various top management positions at Allianz, Microsoft, Deutsche Telekom, Siemens and Dell, among others. He is also former President of the German Information and Telecommunications Industry Association BITKOM and former Vice President of the Federation of German Industries BDI.
